GUARDIAN HOME OPENINGS:
Currently, two older puppies (one male and one female). Possibly one male and one female adult.
If we have any hold backs from our planned 2026 litters, they will also be looking for guardian homes this summer and fall.

- We will take care of your dog at no expense if you need to go out of town- females only (with prior notice and only if we have availability - 2 weeks per year maximum)
- Our Guardian Families get to enjoy the excitement of being a part of our breeding program, and seeing the offspring of their very own Guardian dog be placed with families across the country, bringing others the same joy and happiness that they have received from their Guardian Dog! Please note, families cannot visit their dog while he/she is with us for breeding or having puppies. This causes stress on the dog and our goal is to make it as much of a stress free experience as possible.
ABOUT THE GUARDIAN PROGRAM:
We believe that all dogs deserve to be a loved family member. We never want any of our breeding dogs to live in a kennel atmosphere. As we grow our breeding program, we cannot keep all of our dogs in our home as pets, therefore, we have a Guardian Home Program! This is a triple win for the guardian family, their FOREVER dog, and for our breeding program.
As a guardian home, you get one of our pups as your family pet AT NO COST, while the breeding rights are retained by us for a set amount of time. After the puppy has matured and passed health exams, they will come back to us for breeding one-to-several times a year depending on the sex of the guardian dog and our program needs.
Females will come to us for mating (about a week or two) and, if she is pregnant, she will return to us to whelp her babies and raise them until weaned around 6-8 weeks of age. At that time, your dog would come back to your family. Females will breed once or twice a year (depending on her heat schedule) until she has had 4 litters or if we retire her from our program earlier (before she has had 4 litters). It depends on how well she does with each litter, and how she recovers.
Males only come to us for breeding (about a week or two each time). They could be used for breeding multiple times a year depending on our program goals, but never more than five times per calendar year (typically less). They will retire from our breeding program once they reach 5 years of age, unless we retire them sooner. Once the guardian dog has completed his/her breeding career and fulfilled the contract length, he/she will be spayed/neutered AT OUR EXPENSE, and will remain a forever part of your family.
Guardian families will be under a legal contract with us until their guardian dog’s breeding career is complete. Guardian homes will undergo an interview and screening process before chosen. Please understand that an interview does NOT guarantee you a guardian dog.
Guardian home families are responsible for general routine veterinary care, any emergency care, and wellness of the guardian dog placed with them, just as you would with any pet you bring home. This means feeding a high quality dog food approved by us, basic grooming (non-professional is fine), flea/tick/heartworm prevention year round, socialization, regular exercise, training and most importantly, all the love and attention possible! Any “breeding related” medical costs for the guardian dog will be covered by us. The guardian dog may be health tested up front (certain health results like DNA panels can be cleared through parentage) as well as have occasional health exams at the expense of Breeder.
REQUIREMENTS OF GUARDIAN HOME:
- Must live in OK, TX, AR, KS (within 3 hours of Tulsa, OK in any direction)
- Own your own home (can be single family, townhouse, or condo but you must not be renting and have proof that HOA or building rules allow dogs).
- Allow breeder to visit your home or do a live video call of your home before placement if deemed necessary
- Must have very secure physical fencing, or have dogs on a harness and leash at all times when outside to provide a safe and secure environment for the guardian dog.
- All dogs and pups placed in guardian families must be indoor dogs, and never be left outside unattended for long periods of time.
- Guardian families must maintain pet insurance for their dog (approximately $35-55 per month)
- Guardian families must have reliable transportation, and a willingness to meet the breeder part way, if necessary, when needed throughout the year (we are located just outside Tulsa).
- Maintain open lines of communication with breeder regarding any and all matters concerning the guardian dog.
- Must IMMEDIATELY alert breeder of any changes in dog including but not limited to: coming into heat, any injuries, any changes in health or temperament, etc.
- Take care of routine and emergency medical expenses (not associated with breeding). This includes yearly exams, vaccines, and preventative medication (heartworm, flea, tick).
- Have no other intact dogs in the household, unless they are the same sex as guardian dog.
- Keep the dog properly groomed, with care given to matting, ears, teeth, and nails.
- Make certain that the dog is available for breeding purposes when Breeder needs dog to be available.
- Must not breed the guardian or stud out males (breeding rights belong to us, the breeder.
- If something happens to the guardian dog before they have at least one successful litter (female) or sire at least 2 litters (male) that renders them unable to be part of our breeding program (ex: attacked by another animal, hit by a car, contracts a preventable disease due to guardian home not providing required vaccines, etc) guardian home will owe Breeder $1000.
